FedGeoDay 2026 activities are planned for April 22-23 at the Census Bureau facilities in Suitland, MD. The Federal Geospatial Open Ecosystem Day (FedGeoDay) is a premier annual gathering that highlights the federal government’s growing commitment to open geospatial tools, data, and collaboration. Focused on advancing open geospatial ecosystems—including open-source software, open data, and community-driven mapping—the event brings together federal program leaders, technology experts, industry partners, NGOs, and academia. In 2026, FedGeoDay is scheduled for April 22–23 at the U.S. Census Bureau in Suitland, MD, under the theme “Building Ecosystems for Supporting Federal Data Stewardship.” During the conference, attendees engage in knowledge-sharing through expert-led talks, technical sessions, and networking opportunities, all aimed at strengthening mission-focused capacities within federal agencies and their partners
